Well i was born in Sugarland TX. Then moved to Homestead,FL at a very early age. I just moved to Naples at the end of August. There does not seem like a lot of people around my age here so I thought I would check this out. I like people who are not afraid to throw it all out there and enjoy themselves, I do not like up-tight people. I'm sweet, and smart, and more than a little bit silly. Sometimes I'm so cute I make your teeth ache, and sometimes I'm sarcastic and biting. And sometimes (I know, this is totally unbelievable and probably qualifies as some degree of superpower) I am BOTH at the SAME TIME.

But I'm always, always generous, funny, smart, compassionate, and loyal to a fault (and that isn't just a catchphrase, either; it's broken my heart once or twice). I like to read (voraciously, in fact), I like to learn new things, and I like playing geeky games. If you ever end up in a group of three people or more, I will probably attempt to teach everyone how to play Munchkin so I can kick all your asses and crow about it unrepentantly. My idea of a good time is having three or four friends over, opening a bottle of cheap wine and ordering Chinese, and watching a really terrible movie all snuggled up on the couch together and mocking it mercilessly. Or talking like big fat geeks about our Pokemon teams. I'm not the girl for going out for wild nights on the town club-hopping (do we even have enough clubs for that in Naples? see, I don't even know); I don't have the alcohol tolerance, the disposition or the clothes for that kind of nonsense. I'm not big on sports unless they involve being submersed in water - but I've been water skiing in shows since I was nine. I like climbing the pyramids and stuff like that. They give you little sequined flags to wave, and neon costumes to wear that always smell just a bit off, and it's all very exciting. Woo. Rather, it WAS very exciting, until my show team broke up, because apparently waterski teams have this innate inability to not be insane around each other. So I don't ski much anymore. These days, I'm an indoor-hobbies sort of girl, with all the pallor that implies.

I've been sick with implausibly serious illnesses (check it out, I almost died once or twice) for nearly a year, and am just now feeling better. During this time, I have occupied myself with expanding my mind and honing my skills: I spent nearly six months in bed cuddling a pair of cats, watching stupid sitcoms on DVD, and playing Harvest Moon (that game isn't even fun, dammit, but I can't stop playing it). I don't mind laughing at my bad luck and the sheer unlikeliness of my various health problems, but I really, really hate it when people hold it against me like some kind of personal shortcoming. So, uh, don't do that.

Moved to Florida over 20 years ago and I love it. Just recently I hit the milestone of living in Florida for as long as I lived up north in NE Pennsylvania. I have been fortunate to earn a number of friendships that have lasted as long as I have lived in Florida. oh lawd. They give us ten little boxes to write about ourselves in, and expect us to use the first one to write about something that could just as easily be learned reading the ones that follow.

I'm a pretty quiet person. In the words of so many people now and throughout history, I find that it is "better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt". In my experience, half of every time I see someone open their mouth to impress somebody else or "make a point", the speaker ends up looking like a giant caboose and well...that's not very helpful when in the future you have something useful to talk about, and nobody wants to listen to you! I'm more of a listener.
This doesn't mean that I'm not willing to talk, however... If you bring up something I find relevant to my interests, I'll talk about that subject until my throat goes dry and your ears start to bleed, and you swear I've said the same thing three times or more.

Communication issues aside, I like cats, plants, and reading about history. I plan on being an author some time in the future, once I've gotten my act together and learned how to stop mumbling. I'm also interested in voice acting.

I am 22 years old just moved to Naples from a little town in missouri called Hannibal.. I have my Bachelor of Arts in Bible and minor in Youth Issues and Children's Ministry, I am currently attending FGCU and Liberty University Online to get my Master of Arts in Teaching.
